Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost.  Teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you; and lo I am with you always even to the end of the world.”---- Matthew 28:19-20

OUR MISSION

The mission of COMINAD is to network many churches, organizations, and individuals, for the mobilization of Christian descendants of Africa to reach the world, especially the unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Several years ago, a group of people, interested in mobilizing African-American churches for missions became increasingly aware of a divided Christian community, consisting of individuals, churches and para-church organizations.  All were working hard to evangelize, but results were limited because of the efforts lacked coordination and resources.  They envisioned these parts of the body of Christ coming together in a common vehicle to accomplish the task of world evangelization.  These groups wanted to work together even though they were from different churches.  There were so few Christians interested in world missions within Black churches that they needed the comradeship and expertise that each person, church and organization could offer.    They wanted the encouragement of a collective relationship without losing their own individual identities and distinctives.  The main thrust of the vehicle would be mobilization of African American Christians (Churches) for involvement in cross-cultural world missions. ADOPT -A-VILLEGE

Because the concept of adoption is easily understood within the African-American church
Because a village seems small and therefore, manageable allowing a church to really make a difference in the lives of a group of people
Because all of the members of a church can be involved in the adoption process

Because all finances that are raised to help the village goes through the church  and not sent to an agency

Because in the development of the village all the skills and training that church members have can be used to help the village in Africa MORE

SEPTEMBER 2006 NEWSLETTER

We left the United States on January fifteenth.  For the first sixteen days we had a team of seven people with us; Mr. and Mrs. Bolden, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas, Lisa Arrington, Pastor Jonathan Weaver, and Jim Bowers.  Jim Bowers and his family are missionaries in Mali but are on furlough in the States. It was so nice of Jim to return to Africa with us to take us to Mali so that our team could get a firsthand understanding of the people of Mali.   The entire trip was very informative and rewarding for us and hopefully a blessing for those we have taught and encouraged to follow Jesus Christ.  NEWSLETTER CONTINUED

COMINAD ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

There is no hierarchical, top down leadership structure, just a partnering together to accomplish agreed upon goals. The mission of COMINAD is to network many churches, organizations, and individuals, for the mobilization of Christian descendants of Africa to reach the world, especially the unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. COMINAD is owned by Christians of African descent and any other ethnic groups that are willing to work toward the mobilization of Black Christians to reach the world for Christ. MORE
